Every year, Veterans Day honors those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. To celebrate these brave Americans, Miami restaurants are offering discounts on meals and cocktails to veterans this weekend and Monday, November 11.
Below is a list of places to score the best deals and freebies. Veterans must present valid military ID or other proof of service to enjoy promotional offers.

At his Coconut Grove spot, Michael Beltran invites veterans to enjoy an extended happy hour from 6 to 10 p.m. on Veterans Day. Signature dishes include fritas, the Chug burger, and Philly cheesesteak. Special cocktails are the Chug old-fashioned, the Walter Mercado, and Em’s Tonic.

BLT Prime invites veterans and active military members to enjoy half off their bill for parties of eight or fewer this Monday. The modern steakhouse offers cuts such as 28-day dry-aged New York strip, Kansas City bone-in strip, and porterhouse for two, along with seafood favorites such as tuna tartare, Dover sole, and lobster Cobb salad.

Monday, the Wynwood hot spot will salute veterans with a complimentary handcrafted cocktail created by owner and bar director Ben Potts.
Today through Monday at all locations, the Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão is celebrating veterans and active-duty personnel with a 50 percent discount toward their meals. Guests dining with veterans receive 10 percent off meals for up to three guests.

This Monday, Nikki Beach will offer the $10 Veterans Day mojito, a mix of blueberries, strawberries, mint leaves, lime slices, white rum, and sugar, topped with lemon-lime soda and garnished with a sugarcane stick. Proceeds will be donated to Dogs2Dogtags, a charitable organization that saves and trains shelter dogs to place them with veterans diagnosed with PTSD and other anxiety disorders.

Those who’ve served in the U.S. Armed Forces hold a place of honor at Rusty Pelican: Its parent company, Specialty Restaurants Corporation, was founded in 1958 by David C. Tallichet Jr., a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
